Week 10
A good weekend for the North Ward Old Boys in round 10 with First Grade scoring a 29-20 win over Burdekin. In a game that they had won and then almost lost, a penanlty 5 minutes from the end saw the Old Boys have enough buffer to get the bonus point win.
Reserve Grade had an amazin win 33-29. After going down 4 tries to nil, they had a never say attitude and overran Brothers in what must be the most significant comeback in the club's history. The win sees the reserve grade team slowly climb the ladder.
A good night was had at the Commonwealth as well. For how good - look on the wall of shame.....
There is a 2 week break in the Season now - though the side will still be training as per usual - so all players should get down.

A new Club
After 10 Years we have change the Club Name, the Colours and our Crest to take the club in a new direction. While still maintaining a close link with the Grammar School, the club is also looking to the future in establishing closer links with the North Ward Juniors. This change is sure to provide a new level of excitment into the club and the local competition. Wait for the New Club Jumper.

After Match Celebrations
Remember we all need to get down to the Commonwealth Hotel for the after match functions even if just for an hour as this is what rugby and team spirit is about, sharing a beer with your mates after the game.
“A close knit team and club will always beat a team of stars.”
A big thank you to Marshall for putting on several free jugs for the boys.
